Bear's Bear

So Bear earned his Bear badge and one gold and two silver arrows.  He was awarded it at Blue and Gold Pack meeting this month.  I am so proud of him!  He worked very hard for it.  He also earned his religious knot by completing all the knot requirements in his Faith in God book.  That one is always presented by a member of the bishopric so he was lucky and had his dad present it to him.  His sister was late to YW's so that she could be there for him receiving his awards and he thought that was really cool.  It is so nice to see them support each other. 

 One of the boys planned a great scooter race game for Blue and Gold.  The boys had a blast!

 My Wolf den was in charge of decorations.  The Theme this year was Resourcefulness (and cub scouts birthday!) so the boys made this cub scout out of cardboard rolls and other objects we already had.  They also made paper balloons for the wall (the walls are fabric covered and real balloons pop- also this way the boys got to make them!)

 What birthday party is complete without pizza?  (We had everyone bring salads too so we could at least pretend to be a little healthy ;) ) (oh and more resourcefulness- we reused the cool badge posters from last year!)

 The Bear's planned a cool activity of making crafts out of "found" and recycled objects.  The boys came up with some  creative stuff!

 The cub scout puts the pin on his parent upside down and then has to do a good "turn" to turn the pin right side up.  He helped a ton cleaning up afterwords and did so without complaining.  I thought it was a great good turn.
