The kids had a day off so we headed to the railroad park as the kids called it (otherwise known as McCormick Stillman Railroad park-http://http//www.therailroadpark.com/index1.html) Grandma Sharon joined us for a while. We had a blast! We played on the playground checked out the museum, rode the train, visited the old west, ran into a friend, had lunch (I forgot to take pictures of that though) and rode the carousel. And through it all the kids were amazing! It was a great day!

The playground!
The museum- more in the post below. The museum is in old railway cars that were in service from the 20s till the 50s. There were model trains inside, old uniforms, lanterns etc. All sorts of information in one car and then the second car as set up just like it was when in use with a kitchen, servant quarters, a dining room, bedrooms and a lounge.

The wait for the train was so long and exciting- although to a four year old who loves trains any wait is long! Once we were on we had a blast! We got to go through railroad crossings, complete with lights and signs, over bridges and through a tunnel.
Next we headed out west. Climbed on top of the bank- Wells Fargo of course! And the boys went to jail- tsk tsk :) We also ran into friends from the ward. Considering it is a forty five minute drive, that was pretty cool. Oldest boy about flipped when he say his friend and she did too. Definitely unexpected.
More train posing- Oldest boy requested this picture (I have him trained, don't I)

We finished off the day by riding the carousel. At first the boys were a little scared, even if they wouldn't admit it but by the end they were loving it.
